  • fivefivefour develops a Drupal solution for Woodland Development

    11 Dec, 2006

fivefivefour's latest site to hit the world wide web is WoodlandMN.com.

Decades of commitment to the real estate of the northern metropolitan area of Minneapolis, Minnesota, have bestowed upon Woodland Development Corporation an unmatched reputation for beautiful, well-planned neighborhoods. Through careful planning and committed steps toward preserving the natural beauty of the land has the company become a leader in the local real estate community.

Once again built with the Drupal Content Management System, this website enables Woodland's sales staff to keep their customers updated with the latest information about their housing development projects.

Woodland's sales staff told us of having to dig through files on their computers to find lot information when potential customers called them up on the phone. By moving that information into an online database integrated with their website, Woodland now has the data at their fingertips, around the clock from any location, allowing them to provide top quality customer service. They're now able to provide photos, floor plans, community information, real-time lot availability information and more.

Because of the complex content relationships required to manage information about Woodland's different types of housing developments and all of their components, fivefivefour did some custom module development to further streamline the processes of updating and maintaining the website.

For the visual design, we once again worked with our friends at Planet Claire Creative.

  • Urban Earth Cooperative chooses fivefivefour and Drupal

    27 Oct, 2006

Urban Earth Cooperative opened for business on October 1st, just a few months after conceiving of the idea to take over the existing flower and garden store and create a consumer cooperative at 910 West 36th Street (Bryant Corners NW) in Minneapolis.
With such a fast pace, the group clearly needed the capabilities delivered by Drupal to manage their content and CiviCRM to help manage their founding members. Another key factor is that Drupal levels the field for a small start-up organization such as Urban Earth Cooperative ; capabilities provided by Drupal today cost tens of thousands of dollars just a few years ago, putting them beyond the reach for many organizations.

We were fortunate to be able to work off of the pro bono branding and logo developed by StoneArch Creative of Minneapolis. The website design and Drupal development were donated by fivefivefour.

  • The CoffeeFool's Truth on Fresh

    20 Aug, 2006

The CoffeeFool approached fivefivefour (then doba web services) in January 2005 for help on their website.

The problem: A custom e-commerce solution with monthly service fees and increasingly limited flexibility.

The CoffeeFool had big dreams and why not? They had a successful 100% online business that was selling coffee, the world's 2nd traded largest commodity by volume.

fivefivefour and the CoffeeFool developed a matrix for criteria to be used to select an application service provider. fivefivefour surveyed the market and then set up development accounts with several providers to run them through the paces. The CoffeeFool selected Volusion to power their backend.

fivefivefour took The CoffeeFool's graphic design and applied it to the Volusion system, this is called theming, a fivefivefour specialty.

Periodically over the last year and a half, The CoffeeFool has called upon fivefivefour to update the look and feel on the website.

  • U of MN Center for Spirituality and Healing Deploys a New Drupal Website

    26 Jan, 2006

fivefivefour had the pleasure of developing this Drupal-based website for the University of Minnesota's Center for Spirituality and Healing. This content-rich website provides a wealth of information on Complementary and Alternative therapies, and offers visitors the opportunity to submit questions for the University's experts, or share their own story about Complementary and Alternative therapies.

This site really takes advantage of Drupal's taxonomy capabilities to categorize content, allowing visitors to navigate directly to relevent information via dropdown lists of terms, and displaying different visual themes* for each category of information.
